O São Paulo, enfim, convenceu e saiu de campo sem vaias nesta temporada na vitória por 2 a 0 sobre o CRB, na quarta-feira, no Morumbi, pela Copa do Brasil. Mas, neste domingo, diante do Linense, fora de casa, a comissão técnica pretende fazer mudanças na escalação. A ideia é diminuir o desgaste para o clássico de quinta-feira, contra o Palmeiras, no Allianz Parque.

A decisão da escalação passará pela recuperação dos titulares, com a equipe sendo montada a partir do treino fechado da tarde desta sexta-feira. Mas Dorival Júnior planeja poupar dois atletas que demonstrarem mais cansaço, já que o clube acumula 12 partidas em um mês e meio no ano.

Ao mesmo tempo em que sente a necessidade de poupar jogadores, o treinador não deseja perder a chance de dar ritmo e entrosamento a uma escalação que, enfim, fez o jogo que ele tanto treina. Por isso, recentes novidades na escalação, como Arboleda, Hudson, Valdívia e Brenner, devem seguir entre os titulares, além do goleiro Jean, que estreou na quarta-feira e continua no time, ao menos, enquanto Sidão estiver com lesão muscular.

Entre os titulares que mais atuaram na temporada, estão Marcos Guilherme, que participou de todos os jogos no ano (até saiu do banco para participar da estreia no Paulista, com um time cheio de garotos), e Militão, com 11 partidas na temporada. Paulinho Boia e Bruno, respectivamente, poderiam substitui-los.

Apesar da intenção da comissão técnica em poupar jogadores e ter um time mais inteiro no Choque-Rei, o São Paulo não vive situação completamente tranquila no Campeonato Paulista. O time inicia a antepenúltima rodada da primeira fase na liderança do Grupo B, mas com 11 pontos, apenas um acima de São Caetano e Ponte Preta e a três do São Caetano. Ou seja: uma derrota em Lins pode até deixar o Tricolor na última posição da chave.

Saeed I don’t think you should ask [him] to resign [based] on allegations. Let us wait till the case is completed.The team surrendered quite meekly this morning as wickets fell quickly. Was that because of what happened in the morning and was that playing on their minds?
Butt We didn’t play good cricket. England played a lot better cricket in this game. The point is you can’t connect what happened in the morning’s display because even yesterday the team collapsed for 74 runs. So today was a bit better than that. The guys tried their best but it was just England’s game. They played the better game.Yawar, did you ask Salman if the allegations are true. And in view of these allegations will the ODI series take place?
Saeed As far as I’m concerned the one-day series is on. We are moving to the West Country after [Tuesday] and will play the one-dayers and the T20s. Saeed Then let’s wait until that time comes.Why did the Pakistanis not come out to practise in the morning?
Saeed It is a good question. We did not have even a cup of coffee in the morning. But we did not warm up because I was talking to the team. A lot had happened overnight and it was my duty to talk to them, get them focussed back into the match. There is no other reason.The newspaper report that makes these allegations describes you as the ring leader. Can you confirm that? Also can you confirm whether or not the police searched your room?
Saeed I have read it too in the press. As far as the Scotland Yard investigations are concerned I would not like to say anything more until we go along with it because it is not right for us to make the allegations. As for the room search, I said this last night, too, the Scotland Yard officers came. They interviewed, they came to my room as well. They went to his [Butt’s] room and two other rooms and they were there for about two to three hours. After that I asked if there is anything we can do, they said no. “We are doing our investigations,” they said. “There is nothing more for you people to do”.

Sem atitude na altitude. o Vasco sofreu um drama há muito tempo não vivido nos 2.810 metros de altitude de Sucre, na Bolívia, na noite desta quarta-feira. Foi derrotado por 4 a 0 pelo Jorge Wilstermann (colocando no agregado empate em 4 a 4, já que o Cruz-Maltino venceu o jogo de ida da terceira fase em São Januário na semana passada pelos mesmos 4 a 0) e a decisão da vaga à fase de grupos da Conmebol Libertadores foi para os pênaltis. E graças a Martin Silva, ídolo e herói da Colina, se classificou, vencendo nas penalidades por 3 a 2.

APAGÃO PARTE UM
Com a vantagem de poder perder por até três gols de diferença, o torcedor do Vasco acreditava que a classificação à fase de grupos seria tranquila, mesmo na altitude. Entretanto, não esperavam que um apagão assombraria o Cruz-Maltino nos minutos iniciais. Aos cinco, Zenteno aproveitou falha defensiva dos cariocas e colocou o Wilstermann na frente do marcador.

O apagão do Vasco não se resumiu ao gol aos cinco minutos. Logo na saída de bola, no minuto seguinte, o Wilstermann chegou ao segundo gol com Pedriel. Yago Pikachu falhava mais uma vez na partida. UM POUCO DE JOGO
Nos dez minutos finais do primeiro tempo, o Vasco resolveu jogar um pouco. Conseguiu, apesar de ainda aquém do esperado, colocar a bola no chão e segurar a pressão de certa forma do Wilstermann. Situação de “igual a igual” se repetiu nos primeiros 15 minutos na volta do intervalo.

SEM ATITUDE!
Na altitude de Sucre foi a atitude que faltou ao Vasco. O improvável cenário aconteceu: o Wilstermann chegou ao quarto gol com Zenteno. Fim de papo, 4 a 0 aos bolivianos, agregadado empate em 4 a 4 e decisão da vaga iria para os pênaltis.

Nos pênaltis, Andrés Rios, Yago Pikachu e Wellington acertaram para o Vasco. Leandro Desábato perdeu – acertou a trave – e Rildo parou em Giménez. West Bromwich Albion have only been able to score more than 50 league goals in just two of the nine Premier League campaigns they’ve been involved in since the start of the 2010/11 season.

Looking back down the years, one player the Baggies were linked with but didn’t end up signing that could have been a massive goalscoring threat for the team is Robert Lewandowski.

According to the Express & Star, former West Brom manager Tony Mowbray wanted to bring the then 20-year-old striker to the club in January 2009 when he was at Lech Poznan.

Having ended his time in Poznan with 41 goals in 82 appearances, it’s easy to see why the centre-forward was on West Brom’s radar.

Twenty20 was at its chaotic best – or worst, looking at some of the shots played – in giving Champions League T20 its first Super Over, one that Victoria Bushrangers won emphatically to stay alive in the tournament.With 24 required off the last three overs, and David Hussey entrenched on 48, it looked like a cruise, but poor shot after poor shot gave Suresh Raina four wickets in the 18th and 20th overs. Hussey left the job unfinished, but came back to finish some with three sixes in the Super Over.Redemption seemed to be the theme of the night. R Ashwin, though, who bowled the Super Over for Chennai Super Kings, was left on his knees, all alone despite consolatory pats on his back. Doug Bollinger, not given the Super Over, was left an angry fast bowler, kicking the ground, mouthing off, sitting in the dressing room as opposed to the dugout. It was that kind of night.Emotions were completely in check, though, after Aaron Finch’s stunning 41 off 17 at the start of the chase. Victoria needed a straightforward 59 off 50 when Muttiah Muralitharan took two wickets in two balls. They were still in control with six wickets in hand when Raina began the 18th over. Madness was about to strike.Raina fielded the first ball, and went for a blind reverse-flick. Had he hit, he would have got Rob Quiney. Had he not tried, he wouldn’t have conceded the overthrow that brought Quiney on strike. Quiney, perhaps lured by the short leg-side boundary, went to pull a length ball, and lost his middle stump. John Hastings, hero of Victoria’s bowling effort, got stumped trying a massive slog as opposed to giving Hussey the strike. Twenty-one from 13. Still manageable.Bollinger, whom Finch had hit for 23 in his first two overs, bowled three perfect deliveries for three singles before getting Hussey to hit a slower ball straight to long-off. Game over? Peter Siddle didn’t think so. He backed away, and chipped Bollinger over extra cover, like a batsman would, to bring it down to 12 required off the last over.Raina was the man enjoying the tension. He was pulling out of deliveries and smiling, he was reverse-flicking and smiling, he was accepting gifts and smiling. He was the man to go to. Clint McKay, who had got Raina’s wicket with a superb slower ball earlier, dealt him another blow, nonchalantly swinging the first ball over long-off. Six off five, with three wickets in hand. Game over? Raina didn’t think so. The next ball stopped a touch, and Raina was smiling again after accepting a return catch.Dirk Nannes played along with the chaos theme, and hit the next ball straight down long-on’s lap. Siddle, who should have been given the strike, now made sure he crossed. He had earlier bowled an over of three waist-high full tosses, two of them deemed beamers, one of them hit way over third man. This was time for his redemption. Again, like a seasoned batsman, he made room and lofted the hat-trick ball over extra cover.Two off two. Last wicket standing. Mind games began. Raina pulled out of the next delivery. When he came into bowl again Siddle pulled out. Raina wasn’t blinking first, and refused to bowl the next time. Asad Rauf smiled, walked a few steps down the pitch, perhaps to move out of stumps mic’s range, and told Raina something.Raina let go this time, Siddle swung, got a bottom edge through to MS Dhoni, who saw Bryce McGain trying to steal one and lobbed the ball back to Raina. Raina had blinked. He wasn’t back at the stumps, and had to throw from halfway down the pitch. The overthrow cost the single that brought the scores level. One more mistake was to follow. McGain swung across the line of the last ball, and missed. Dhoni collected cleanly.Dhoni had earlier got Finch out by persisting with Ashwin, who was hit for 14 in the second over of the innings. He again went with Ashwin, ahead of Bollinger and Raina. Finch was there to face Ashwin, who bowled flat and fast, giving him little room. Hussey was brought on strike. This was time for the ultimate redemption. The captain should have finished it off earlier. He was going to do it now.Hussey just took half a step down the pitch and pulverised the first ball he faced out of St George’s Park. This six meant more than just six runs. The massiveness. The nonchalance. Ashwin knew Hussey could get him anytime. The carrom ball that had got Flinch was forgotten. The arm ball was forgotten. All that came out was flat and full, or flat and short, and went for 2, 2, 6, and 6.With 23 runs to defend in the Super Over, Victoria went to the master of slower balls, McKay, who didn’t need to do anything clever. McKay and Hastings, though, had to produce some of the best slower balls earlier in the night to keep the target to manageable proportions.M Vijay, with his 53-ball 73, had taken Chennai to 135 for 2 in 16 overs when Hastings and McKay intervened with three overs for 14 runs and the wickets of Vijay, Dhoni and S Anirudha. Both expertly bowled all three versions of the slower ball – offcutter, legcutter and bouncer – and Chennai and the shots, just like punctured balloons, went nowhere.If the slower ones had the sedative effect on Chennai, Finch shook them up harshly. McKay, Hastings and Finch would have thought they had done enough, but they were required again on a mad night.

Celtic have not found it difficult to find the back of the net this season having scored 78 goals in 33 SPFL games under Ange Postecoglou.

Despite this impressive feat, one figure at the Parkhead club that hasn’t been particularly prominent in an attacking sense is striker Albian Ajeti.

With 17 appearances to his name across all competitions, the 25-year-old has only been able to score three goals.

As well as his lack of regular goals, his performances in the league when he has been able to get on the pitch have been rather underwhelming.

The centre-forward is currently listed as the second-lowest rated Celtic player currently in Postecoglou’s squad that has started more than one league game according to WhoScored.

Looking ahead to the upcoming summer transfer window, it seems as though the Hoops may be looking to add some more attacking depth to their side, which could also push the misfiring Ajeti out of the club at the same time.

What’s the news?

According to a recent report from Ghana Web, Celtic are pushing for a summer transfer move to sign Bayern Munich youngster Christopher Scott.

With a total of 106 youth appearances to his name for Bayern and his previous club Bayer Leverkusen, the 19-year-old has scored 44 goals and provided 15 assists in the process.

This shows what a capable attacking figure he is and what he could potentially offer the Hoops if they sign him this summer.

The teenager has also made two senior appearances for the Bundesliga champions this season which came during the back end of last season.

Labelled as an “very aggressive accurate passer” by Bhoys Analytics, Scott is set to have his current contract at the German club run out in the summer.

With that in mind, if the Hoops can secure his signature on a free transfer and then give him regular minutes on the pitch, this could be a great bit of business from the Parkhead club.

Also, with Frank McAvennie claiming how “unbelievable” it is for the club to still be paying Ajeti his £18k-per-week wages, getting him out of Celtic Park and replacing him with a young attacking talent such as Scott could give the Hoops fans a lot to shout about.

Flamengo e Cariacica possuem uma conexão muito grande. O estádio Kleber Andrade costuma ser um palco que traz boas recordações para a torcida e para os jogadores do Fla. Porém, nunca viu uma taça ser levantada pelo clube. Esta pode ser a primeira vez. Neste domingo, diante do Boavista, às 17h (de Brasília), o Rubro-Negro decide a Taça Guanabara no Estado, para alegria da nação capixaba.

E a empolgação de jogar na cidade de Cariacica aumenta mais com a possibilidade da primeira conquista no local. Ao todo, o Flamengo soma 13 jogos no estádio – que foi considerado a casa do Fla em 2016 – com nove vitórias, dois empates e apenas duas derrotas. A última aconteceu na fatídica eliminação na Copa Sul-Americana, de 2016, quando perdeu para o modesto Palestino, por 2 a 1. Na ida, no Chile, o Fla tinha vencido por 1 a 0 e caiu no gol qualificado.

Jogando ainda diante de seus torcedores capixabas, o Rubro-Negro marcou 20 gols. No Espírito Santo, a torcida rubro-negra é considerada a maior – segundo as últimas pesquisas – e mesmo assim o estádio nunca viu um título ir para oa Gávea, direto de Cariacica. A 21ª Taça Guanabara da história do clube pode ser a privilegiada em fazer essa história.

O Flamengo entrou pela primeira vez no Kleber Andrade em 1995, pelo Brasileiro, e com derrota. O milionário time daquele ano caiu por 2 a 0 para o Cruzeiro. Depois atuou em 1996, aí pela Copa do Brasil, vencendo os donos da casa, o Linhares, por 1 a 0.

Quase 20 anos depois, o Rubro-Negro voltou a usar a sua casa. Foi diante da Desportiva, em um amistoso, em 2015, e goleada por 4 a 0. Em 2016, arrancou a sequência de sete vitórias consecutivas, sendo derrotado apenas par ao Palestino.

Acostumado com o Maior do Mundo – o Maracanã – o Flamengo pode fazer sua própria festa, pela primeira vez, em Cariacica. É isso que os capixabas esperam.

SEQUÊNCIA NÃO É BOA

Apesar de ter um ótimo retrospecto no Kleber Andrade, o Flamengo de uma sequência de três jogos sem vitórias em terras capixabas. Depois do revés, em 2016, para o Palestino (CHI), o Rubro-Negro voltou à Cariacica e empatou com o Fluminense, em 2017, pela Taça Rio, e empatou por 1 a 1.

Em seguida, pelas quartas de finais da Primeira Liga, o Fla voltou a empatar no estádio, pelo mesmo placar, e foi derrotado na disputa de pênaltis, pelo Paraná e foi eliminado da competição. O goleiro Alex Muralha foi considerado um dos grandes responsáveis pela eliminação.

Apesar de sentir-se à vontade no Espírito Santo, o técnico Paulo César Carpegiani vê o Kleber Andrade como estádio neutro, mesmo o rival Boavista, tendo pouquíssima torcida no Estado.

– Cariacica é um campo neutro para os dois. Alguns que já jogaram lá dizem que o gramado é excelente. Os dois vão sentir dificuldade – afirmou.

EVERTON É ATUAL ARTILHEIRO

Dos jogadores do elenco atual do Flamengo, Everton é o que mais vezes balançou as redes em Cariacica. O jogador é o único que soma dois gols, nesses 13 jogos no Espírito Santos. Fernandinho também possui dois, mas não está mais no clube.

Os gols do camisa 22 foram assinalados em 2016 na vitória por 1 a 0 sobre o América-MG, na Primeira Liga, e no mesmo ano, pela Sul-Americana, no triunfo por 3 a 1 sobre o Figueirense.

Dos que ainda estão no elenco, Everton Ribeiro, Willian Arão e Ederson já marcaram atuando em Cariacica.

بعث الفرنسي كريم بنزيما برسالة بعد تأكد غيابه عن مونديال قطر 2022 الذي ينطلق اليوم الأحد.

وأصيب بنزيما وترك تدريبات فرنسا ليلة السبت وخضع لفحص طبي أثبت إصابته في عضلات الفخذ اليسرى.

وقد أعلن الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم في بيان رسمي غياب بنزيما لثلاثة أسابيع واستبعاده من كأس العالم 2022.

عبر “إنستجرام” كتب الفائز بالكرة الذهبية: “في حياتي لم أستسلم أبدًا ولكن عليّ أن أفعل ذلك الليلة”.

موضحًا: “أنني أفكر في الفريق كما كنت أفعل دائمًا، لذا فإن السبب يخبرني أن أترك مكاني لشخص يمكنه مساعدة مجموعتنا في لعب كأس عالم جيد”.

وأتم مهاجم ريال مدريد: “شكرا لكم على كل رسائل الدعم”.

Bruno Mendes voltou ao Guarani em 2017, depois de ter ganhado projeção nacional pelo Bugre em 2012. O dono da camisa 9 está deslanchando neste ano. No jogo do último sábado, o atacante marcou três vezes e comandou a virada do Guarani sobre o Sertãozinho, por 4 a 2.

Com média de um gol por jogo na segunda divisão do Campeonato Paulista, ele conseguiu, nesta temporada, superar o rendimento de sua primeira passagem pelo Guarani. Em 2012, Bruno Mendes fez seis gols em 23 jogos.

– É o meu recomeço. Quero ajudar o Bugre e colocá-lo no seu lugar de direito, que é a Série A1. Coloquei metas esse ano. Estamos criando identidade, brigando. Fico feliz por ajudar o Guarani com os três gols. Agora é buscar se consolidar no G-4 – disse o jogador, de 23 anos.

Bruno Mendes cogita, inclusive, que a boa fase é a melhor que já viveu em sua carreira. Confiante, o atacante quer dar sequência aos bons números.

– Pratiquei todos os fundamentos: direita, esquerda e cabeceio. Acredito que, comparando, é uma das melhores fases da minha carreira, igual no começo do Botafogo. Estou feliz aqui.

Bruno Mendes entrou de vez na disputa pela artilharia da Série A2. Com cinco gols, está atrás apenas de Everton, do XV de Piracicaba, com seis. Os dois estarão frente a frente na quarta-feira, quando Guarani e Nhô Quim se enfrentam no Brinco de Ouro, às 20h.
