نجح فريق تشيلسي في إتمام ثالث صفقاته في موسم الانتقالات الشتوي الحالي، من أجل تعزيز صفوف الفريق.

وحسب بيان رسمي من نادي فاسكو دا جاما البرازيلي، فإن اللاعب أندري سانتوس سينتقل إلى صفوف تشيلسي بعد حسم النادي الإنجليزي للصفقة بنجاح.

دفع البلوز 18 مليون جنيه إسترليني للاعب خط الوسط البالغ من العمر 18 عامًا ليصبح ثالث توقيع له في نافذة يناير.

أعلن اتحاد الكرة المصري تعيين البرتغالي كارلوس كيروش، مديرًا فنيًا لمنتخب مصر، خلفًا للجهاز الفني السابق بقيادة حسام البدري.

أضاف كريم شحاتة خلال مداخلة هاتفية عبر برنامج وان تو مع سيف زاهر، المُذاع عبر إذاعة أون تايم سبورت أف إم: “تحدث معنا مسئول كبير في الدولة ومسئول أخر من اتحاد الكرة، بشأن تولي حسن شحاتة قيادة منتخب مصر، وهناك مسئول في الدولة تحدث مع حسن شحاتة ليطمئن على صحته وجاهزيته لقيادة منتخب مصر”.

تابع: “حسن شحاتة أبدى ترحيبه بالتواجد في منتخب مصر وأنه تحت أمر الدولة في أي وقت، وبدأ بالفعل تشكيل أجهزة فنية تكون متواجدة معه”.

وواصل: “عندما تحدث معي مسئول من اتحاد الكرة أخبرني أن هناك مفاوضات بينهم وبين البرتغالي كارلوس كيروش، وطلب مني عدم الإعلان عن المفاوضات في الإعلام مع حسن شحاتة حفاظًا على السرية، وظلت الاتصالات بيننا حتى الساعة التاسعة من مساء يوم الثلاثاء الماضي”.

استكمل: “صباح الأربعاء تلقيت اتصالاً هاتفيًا من مسئول في اتحاد الكرة، أخبرني بأنهم نجحوا في الاتفاق مع كارلوس كيروش، وتقدموا باعتذار لحسن شحاتة وأكدوا على تقدير الشعب المصري له ولإنجازاته”.

أوضح: “عندما أبلغت حسن شحاتة بالأمر، قال قدر الله وما شاء فعل، لعله خيرًا ولا أحد يعلم النصيب والأهم مصلحة منتخب مصر وتم غلق الملف”.

اختتم: “جميعنا سنكون وراء الجهاز الفني الجديد لمنتخب مصر وهو يضم عناصر مصرية مميزة مثل ضياء السيد ومحمد شوقي وعصام الحضري”.

Liberados pelo departamento médico do Atlético-MG, Leonardo Silva e Cazares estão recuperados de contusões e podem voltar a atuar com a camisa alvinegra nesta quarta-feira. O Galo vai enfrentar a Chapecoense, em jogo válido pelas oitavas de final da Copa do Brasil, às 19h30, no Independência.

De acordo com o técnico Thiago Larghi, o zagueiro ainda precisa ganhar condições de jogo mas o retorno ao time principal já é dado como certo.

According to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday have initiated talks with young defender Osaze Urhoghide over extending his current contract as it nears its expiry. 

The 19-year-old was brought into the Wednesday set-up last summer after impressing during a trial spell with the club (via SWFC). Urhoghide linked up with the reserve team and has since made waves – the Owls have the option to extend his contract until 2021 but the club reportedly have much bigger plans for the teenager.

If Wednesday are able to tie down Urhoghide on a new four-year or five-year contract, that could be the first step to fixing some major issues currently surrounding the first team. Garry Monk has expressed his desire to lower the average age of his current squad and, as highlighted by Dom Howson, the Owls have a whopping 17 players nearing the end of their contracts or coming to the end of a loan deal at Hillsborough.

Urhoghide has played four times for the first team this season and has contributed to two clean sheets (via Transfermarkt). The Englishman occupies a position which is currently well-stacked at Wednesday, which could give him the time to develop without rushing into anything. As he progresses, he will provide healthy competition for fellow right-backs Moses Odubajo and Liam Palmer.

The average age of Monk’s current senior squad is 27.1 and he has 12 players who are aged 29 or over (via Transfermarkt). If there is indeed an upheaval in the summer, players like Urhoghide could prove pivotal as the Owls prepare to recruit for the 2020/21 season.

Ireland got to 113 in their 28 overs, with extras the highest contributor with 27. Offspinner Esther de Lange took 3 for 16. Netherlands’ chase seemed to be on course at 72 for 4 after some decent contributions from the top order. But wickets fell in a heap at the end and they were bowled out for 112 in 27.3 overs. Legspinner Ciara Metcalfe picked up four wickets for Ireland.

Lee had taken the wicket of Dhoni in his previous over, but in the 40th, the pair took him to the cleaners, with Yuvraj hitting two scorching boundaries.In the next over, Shaun Tait was wayward and gave away 13 runs. Those two overs proved to be one of the catalysts of India’s win, but Yuvraj said it was not a planned counterattack. “It was very difficult to control the emotions because the heartbeat was racing in the pressure situation. If we made one mistake in a situation like today we would be out of the World Cup. Various thoughts run through your mind, but I decided that I would only watch the ball, keep it simple and as far as possible not hit in the air. Unless the asking rate peaked to seven-and-a-half, only then I would go for the big hits; till then I would hold back.”Yuvraj revealed that there was a driving force behind his recent success, a person he will unveil if India make the final on April 2. “I am playing this tournament for a special person. That special person always comes into my mind whenever I am in a pressure situation. Hopefully it will work out in the end.”Not only was he a bit secretive, he even turned philosophical about his good work against Australia. “You have a lot of thoughts [in the mind while batting] but whenever you want to desperately do it for your country and your team it somehow works out. It is great it is working at the right moment in the World Cup. It is a great victory for us.”Yuvraj had planned for every eventuality. On the eve of the match, he was the last batsman to face throwdowns from coach Gary Kirsten.
