تحدث طارق جبريل عضو اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة نادي الزمالك، عن قضية لاعب فريقه السابق والأهلي الحالي محمود عبد المنعم كهربا، والتجديد للجناح المغربي أشرف بن شرقي.

وقال جبريل في تصريحات تلفزيونية “اي تي سي” عبر برنامج “بوكس تو بوكس”: “قضية كهربا هي القضية الوحيدة المضمونة للزمالك ضمن قضايا النادي ضد لاعبيه السابقين”.

وأضاف: “سنفوز بتلك القضية مع احترامي لـ اللاعب والأهلي، وغالبًا ستكون لصالح الزمالك ونثق من الفوز بها وهذا من واقع خبرتي مع الفيفا خلال الفترة الماضية”.

وواصل: “الزمالك في أمس الحاجة للدعم، إذا لم يتم دعمه ماليًا سيهبط للدرجة الثانية، وعقوبات الفيفا تصاعدية وقد يتم إيقاف القيد لنادي الزمالك ثلاث فترات جديدة”.

واستكمل: “الزمالك أكبر نادي بالتاريخ لديه قضايا دولية في المحكمة الرياضية والفيفا في نفس الوقت”.

وأتم: “الزمالك لا يريد الصدام مع أشرف بن شرقي واللاعب يريد وضع شرط جزائي بقيمة نصف مليون دولار، وإذا لم يجدد خلال أيام سيرحل”.

واختتم: “الأهلي لن يدخل في مفاوضات مع الزمالك لضم أشرف بن شرقي، والزمالك لن يوافق بهذا الامر، اللاعب الذي لا يريد اللعب للزمالك يرحل ونتمنى له التوفيق”.

Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying an extremely strong start to their 2020/21 Premier League season. After beating title contenders Manchester City and putting six past Manchester United, many have raised the question of whether this could be the year Spurs take home the glory.

Of course, it’s very early days still and the nature of the Premier League has proven that absolutely anything can happen. However, with the Lilywhites putting pressure on the league’s best and three-time title winner Jose Mourinho spearheading the team, they have just as good a chance as anyone else.

Gary Mabbutt certainly believes that he could finally see his former side lift the Premier League trophy.

When Football FanCast asked the ex-defender if Spurs are in with a chance of winning the title, he was quick to voice his belief in the north London outfit.

“Absolutely. Looking at the table so far this season and looking at the performances from all the teams, everybody has weaknesses that can be exploited,” Mabbutt said. “It was key showing against Manchester City that we got our tactics right. We sat back, we soaked up the pressure and then on the counter attack we exploited their defence.”

Indeed, the likes of City and Liverpool have shown their weaknesses this season and both are missing key players through injury. Chelsea’s lavish summer spending hasn’t paid off yet either, with Kai Havertz underperforming so far.

Meanwhile, Spurs have the most in-form forwards in the league with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min leading the line. The duo have a combined 16 goals and 11 assists after just nine matches played (via BBC Sport). The addition of loan signing Gareth Bale has also boosted morale. The ability to dig deep and grind out results is showcasing Mourinho’s grit and his determination to win.

“For myself, I think it’s a realistic chance for us this season,” Mabbutt concluded.

Tom Davies must step up and seize his chance to regain a starting role at Everton after Carlo Ancelotti lost Allan to a hamstring injury at Leicester City on Wednesday night.

The ex-SSC Napoli titan was forced off late in the first half and left Toffees chiefs waiting anxiously for word on how long he will now be forced to spend on the sidelines, with no firm timescale as yet placed on his recovery.

Allan sustained the issue while tracking back and was forced to be replaced by Andre Gomes, who struggled to set the stage alight whilst Davies was left to watch on from the bench once again.

Davies has been named in all but one of Ancelotti’s 12 Premier League matchday squads so far this season, yet has only tasted game time in six and started two, with the last of his opening roles coming as a right-sided wing-back against Leeds United in the absence of Seamus Coleman.

Ancelotti has also only felt fit to start Davies in midfield once, coming against Brighton and Hove Albion in early October after Allan was sidelined with a groin strain.

Yet the Italian tactician was full of praise for Davies’ performance in the 4-2 win over the Seagulls, believing the 22-year-old was tactically brilliant.

“I think he has the advantage that he can play all the positions in midfield,” Ancelotti told EvertonTV. “He can play holding midfield.

“It depends what you are going to ask of him. I think against Brighton he did really well tactically, and what I asked of him. He doesn’t have to do a special or fantastic pass, he has to just control the position in front of our two centre-backs.

“Honestly, he did really well tactically. Of course, he can improve because he’s still young. But I think everyone can improve.”

If Allan is unable to feature against Arsenal on Saturday evening, Ancelotti should have no choice but to offer Davies a recall and the chance for the £25,000-per-week talent to regain a starting role.

Davies is, in the view of former Everton striker Joe Royle, in need of a “jump-start” in his career having lost the spark from his explosion onto the scene in 2016, and when better to get the engine firing on all cylinders again than against a limping giant of the Premier League era in Mikel Arteta’s underperforming Gunners.

He certainly delivered when Ancelotti needed him to against Brighton, with Davies penning 68 touches, five interceptions, three successful tackles, one blocked shot, 46 accurate passes and three ground duels won, per SofaScore. All aspects Everton will need from whoever is tasked with locking down the deep role in the engine room come Saturday.

David Moyes must swoop for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in the January transfer window, after the West Ham United target produced a dominant display as RC Strasbourg Alsace thrashed Nimes Olympique 5-0 on Wednesday night.

Bellegarde has emerged as a potential option for the Hammers to chase in the mid-season market as Moyes looks to improve his ranks at the London Stadium, but could face competition from rivals Crystal Palace, according to Foot Mercato.

Both sides are believed to have approached the 22-year-old’s agent to sound out his interest in a potential move, having been attracted by the midfielder’s eye-catching performances in Ligue 1 over the past year-and-a-half.

West Ham were credited with an interest in signing Bellegarde last summer but failed to seal a deal to sign the Haiti international, who Fiorentina had previously strived to acquire (Corriere dello Sport, 18/8, p. 26).

Bellegarde remained at the Meinau Stadium where he has started 15 of his 16 Ligue 1 appearances under Thierry Laurey this term, sitting out only two matches thus far with a thigh injury sustained last month.

The £3.6m-rated gem has proven a key weapon in Laurey’s plans with minutes in several midfield roles, spread over deep-lying, wide and forward positions, but is yet to register a goal or an assist.

The £4,000-per-week enforcer further took a total of 64 touches and completed 35 of his 40 attempted passes, including finding teammates with three of seven crosses as Bellegarde brought the width to Laurey’s plans on the left-hand channel.

Bellegarde’s performance would have delighted any West Ham scouts in attendance, who would be able to report back to Moyes a glowing rendition of the RC Lens product reminiscent of Tomas Soucek for his ability to provide a key driving threat from midfield.
